13/03/09 - Headlands Update - St Philip

Your local Councillors have been in meetings over the last few months to represent the views of residents who are concerned about the possibility of building on the Headlands Playing Fields.  Our feeling is that the building should not go ahead as planned. 

Our understanding about the building originally was that the footprint of the school would be built on but that the rest of the green area would remain intact.  However, correspondence on the issue seems to have died down. 

The recession probably means that the land wouldn't be built on for some time but we urge readers not to be complacent about the decision and to please let us have your views by email or phone.
